Flunixin meglumine is a new type of non-steroidal animal-specific antipyretic and analgesic drug, which belongs to niacin derivatives and is an inhibitor of cyclooxygenase.
Chemical properties:
White or off-white powder. Soluble in water ethanol (96%) and methanol. Almost insoluble in ethyl ester and dichloroform.
Uses:
Anti-inflammatory and analgesic for veterinary use.
The drug is used in horses to relieve inflammation and pain caused by muscle abnormalities, to relieve visceral colic in horses, and to treat diarrhea, tremors, colitis, respiratory and other system diseases in foals.
For cattle, the treatment of respiratory diseases.
