Use:
【Use one】
Used as pharmaceutical raw materials and organic
intermediates, and also as solvents.
【Use two】
Used as analytical reagent and extraction agent for aluminum in tungsten and
molybdenum.
【Use three】
Pentadione, also known as acetylacetone, is an intermediate of the fungicides
azoxystrobin, azoxystrobin and the herbicide rimsulfuron.
【Use four】
Acetylacetone is an intermediate in organic synthesis, and it can form
amino-4,6-dimethylpyrimidine with guanidine, which is an important
pharmaceutical raw material. It can be used as a solvent for cellulose acetate,
an additive for gasoline and lubricants, a desiccant for paints and varnishes,
a fungicide, and an insecticide. Acetylacetone can also be used as a catalyst
for petroleum cracking, hydrogenation and carbonylation reactions, and an
oxygen oxidation promoter. It can be used to remove metal oxides in porous
solids and to treat polypropylene catalysts, etc. More than 50% of it is used
in livestock antidiarrheals and feed additives in European and American
countries.
【Use five】
Organic synthesis, reagents for chromatographic analysis, transition metal
chelating agent. Colorimetric determination of iron and fluorine, determination
of thallium in the presence of carbon disulfide. Organic synthesis, reagents
for chromatographic analysis, transition metal chelating agent. Colorimetric
determination of iron and fluorine, determination of thallium in the presence
of carbon disulfide.

Storage conditions |
1. Keep away from open flames and strong oxidants, and keep sealed in a cool place. 2. Packed in iron drums lined with plastic bags or plastic drums; 250kg per drum. Fireproof, moisture-proof, stored in dangerous goods warehouse. Store and transport according to the regulations of hazardous chemicals. |
Stability |
1. Properties: Acetylacetone is a colorless or yellowish flammable liquid. The boiling point is 135-137°C, the flash point is 34°C, and the melting point is -23°C. The relative density is 0.976, and the refractive index is n20D1.4512. 1g of acetylacetone is soluble in 8g of water, and miscible with ethanol, benzene, chloroform, ether, acetone and glacial acetic acid, and decomposed into acetone and acetic acid in lye. In case of high heat, open flame and strong oxidant, it is easy to cause combustion. Unstable in water, easily hydrolyzed into acetic acid and acetone. 2. Moderate toxicity. It can irritate the skin and mucous membranes. When the human body stays at (150~300)*10-6 for a long time, it will be damaged, and symptoms such as headache, nausea, vomiting, dizziness and insensitivity will appear, but it will disappear at a concentration of 75*10-6 no danger. The production should adopt a vacuum-tight device. Ventilation should be enhanced at the operation site to minimize running, emitting, dripping and leaking. In the event of poisoning, leave the scene as soon as possible and breathe fresh air. Operators should wear protective equipment and conduct regular occupational disease inspections. |
